About us

Rootwise Garden publishes clear, practical gardening advice for people with real gardens: small plots, balconies, windowsills and allotments.

We started Rootwise Garden because so much gardening advice online is either too technical or too vague. Our guides focus on what actually works, explained in plain language, with the reasons behind each step.

Our approach

• Practical first: every guide answers "what should I do, and when?"
• Wildlife-friendly: we favour peat-free compost and natural pest control.
• Honest: if something is folklore rather than proven, we say so.
• Kept up to date: we review and update articles regularly.

How we're funded

Rootwise Garden is free to read. We may show advertising to cover our costs. Advertisers never influence our advice.
